Welcome to the home for all things related to my latest D20 campaign, Fallout; The Ville.

This campaign originally started out as a mental excercise between my friends Eric, Adam, and myself. We had often wondered why there were so few sci-fi/horror stories set in or around our hometown of Louisville, KY. The only thing we could think of was “Return of the Living Dead,” a comedic counter to George Romero’s “Night of the Living Dead” series. We then set out to create our own alternate versions of the city by reimagining it in the various worlds made famous by movies, comic books, and video games.

All three of us had been playing the newly released (back then, anyway) Fallout 3 and were drawn to the idea of imagining how the city would fair in the post-nuclear-apocalyse established in the game. The name, “The Ville” was pulled from an old tourism campaign the city used years ago; natives have always disagreed about how to actually say “Louisville,” so a lot of the ads simply called it “The Ville.” Once the name was set, the rest just started to fall into place.

At first we treated our creation like a potential DLC for the game, thinking about how the Lone Wanderer would make the long journey to The Ville. The most obvious answer was a plane, but who owned it? Why would they carry a stranger to this far away city? What would be found there? These were just afew of the questions we had to answer. We created a lot of material for his story, but in time it simply fell into background and was left uncompleted. Yet when news of Fallout; New Vegas surfaced, I dug through the old files for The Ville and decided to make the jump from a concept DLC to a fully developed pen-and-paper RPG!

Things started slow at first; it took a long time for me to decide what rules to take from the D20 system and what I would create from scratch. The biggest hurdles to cross were the races of the Wasteland (Ghouls, Super Mutants, Vault Dwellers, ect) and radiation. Each one needed something unique, different, to set it apart from everything else in the gaming world. After several trials and errors, plus a test adventure (thanks to the guys who put up with that one!) the game and all it’s new rules are just about finished!

When the changes are complete, you can find all the rules for PC Races, New Feats, New Equipment, and the Updated Radiation Rules in the Rules Wiki! If you enjoy what I have put together, are interested in some of the “GM Only” material for your own game, or have questions or suggestions, feel free to let me know!

Oh, and just to make things clear here; I DO NOT OWN FALLOUT OR ANY OF THE CHARACTERS, LOCATIONS, CREATURES, OR ITEMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE FALLOUT SERIES OF VIDEO GAMES OR ANY ASSOCIATED MATERIAL.

Also, the PCs that appear under the Characters page are the creations of their respective players. Any original characters, feats, items, or other game related materials were developed by myself, Kirk Bideau, with the input from Eric Valezquez, Adam Streble, Casey Clark, Brian Seng, and Justin Carver.
